Tokio Hotel is German glam/ emo rock band founded in Magdeburg, Germany in 2001 by singer Bill Kaulitz, guitarist Tom Kaulitz bassist Georg Listing and drummer Gustav Shafer.

The music video for 1000 Meere has many unique things about it. First thing of note is the mise en scene which gives a very distinctive bleak feeling to the person whose watching as the lighting seems to be mostly blue. A second thing to look at is that the clothes that the band wear are not very colorful at all but rather they are very drab and dark with the and members only wearing either white or black. The video is set in a deserted train yard (interestingly enough filmed in Paris). There's a variety of camera shots used such as mostly low angle shots, panning shots, and tracking shots. One effect that is used is the dissolve effect where the singer appears singing over the image of what's outside of the train as it's moving.
